Park Soo-ah has seen tremendous growth this episode, revealing more cracks in her villainous persona and explaining what drove her to such extreme actions. While understanding what led to this behaviour doesn’t excuse its perpetration, it does provide needed depth and dimension to her character.

Kang Hui-rim goes above and beyond, providing comic relief; she offers crucial support when Kang Eun-soo needs it most and delivers hard truths that no one else will speak up for her. Furthermore, her loyalty is admirable and genuine.

Baek Yeo-ju is at a crossroads this episode; her decisions to maintain family harmony at personal cost have had lasting ramifications. Furthermore, she recognizes that encouraging harmful patterns doesn’t help anyone; her character arc mirrors larger themes perfectly.

Yang Mi-yeon shines in her confession scene as an actor. Her confession scene showcases her range; she has kept secrets that have damaged relationships, so finally releasing them is both liberating and terrifying.
