What Happened Before Typhoon Family Episode 7?
Let me paint you a picture. Episode 5 opened with Mi-seon finding Tae-poong and his mother Jeong-mi passed out in their office, prompting Mi-ho to work part-time as a roulette dealer at Nam-mo’s Bar, where she needed protection against drunk patrons. Meanwhile, Tae-poong went into cardiac arrest. In response, Mi-ho began working part-time guarding against drunk customers at Nam-mo’s Bar, while Mi-ho began working part-time as well. Mi-ho also started working part-time as a roulette dealer at Nam-mo’s Bar, where she had to protect drunk customers as part of her duties. Mi-ho began working as a part-time roulette dealer, where she needed protection from drunk patrons who might get abusive.
As things became more complicated, Tae-poong desperately needed cash and approached Hui-gyu for a loan – with an unorthodox agreement: If he couldn’t repay, Hui-gyu threatened that she’d take their eyes in return! Since standard interest rates weren’t shocking enough.
Episode 6 featured 7,000 safety shoes instead of the Mi-seon 500 initially ordered, causing confusion for everyone involved and further deepening the financial crisis. Do you remember her expression? This could be seen by ordering one pizza and receiving fourteen huge ones instead! Pizza may seem more appealing, but the financial turmoil remains.
Mi-seon was taken outside, angry that Tae-poong made decisions without consulting her first. Later that evening, he reached out and expressed his regret; Mi-seon forgave him but set clear boundaries: no more solo decisions by Tae-poong alone. Additionally, she is unaware of the loan Tae-poong took out against his eye, so this discussion promises to be lively!
What Can We Expect in Typhoon Family Episode 7?
Here’s where the excitement begins to build: Tae-poong has proven himself unstoppable even through all their challenges, already considering Thailand to collect their next shipment (another cargo ship is due soon), showing incredible resilience as his body adjusts from having repeatedly hit walls with balls he is throwing against walls.
Tae-poong seems to have realised his growing feelings for Mi-seon after all these business dealings and late-night apologies, just in time! We’ve all been anticipating it since episode two. Kim Min-ha’s kiss added another layer of tension between these two.
What should he tell her about the loan to the eye? That’s the billion-dollar question. Imagine: “Hey Mi-seon, I want to share a funny tale about how more motivated I have become lately…” As romantic dinner conversation ideas go, this doesn’t sound very romantic at all.
Tae-poong has had to navigate his way through corrupt dealers, failed deliveries and risky debts in Episode 6. Episode 7 may throw a curveball his way – perhaps aliens? At this point, would it really shock anyone?
Cast to bring this 1997 Chaos to Life
Lee Jun-ho portrays Kang Tae-poong superbly, evolving from an immature rich child into an experienced CEO with ease. This performance was described as calm, heartbreaking and totally believable, making for the ideal comic relief and earning awards just for facial expressions alone!
Kim Min-ha depicts Oh Mi-seon as the hardworking bookkeeper for Typhoon Trading, taking care of everything from cleaning cups to organising ledgers and carrying her family’s burdens, while also running the company, while Tae-poong learns in the field.
Kim Min-seok depicts Wang Nam-mo as Tae-poong’s most trusted friend who assists him through times of stress. Every Tae-poong should have at least one Nam-mo, an individual who remains true even when business decisions require taking risks and who can offer valuable support during decision-making.
Sung Dong-il is Kang Ji-yeong’s father and died, which set off this scenario. Kim Ji-young plays Jung Jeong-mi as Tae-poong’s mother; with her guidance, he became who he is today —thanks to Mom. Ultimately, he was well prepared to deal with economic crises.
Why Typhoon Family Episode 7 Is Important
This film follows the life and family struggles of an emerging executive as they face a financial crisis in 1997. Not only does the show provide entertainment, but those alive during 1997-98 may find it brings back fond memories of trying to revive the economy after its collapse.
Production team members sourced rare items and spoke with individuals who lived through the crisis to verify their authenticity, including wall clocks, shoelaces with messages, Korean-bred roses, bank books, and all the other details that make up this historical narrative. Their dedication is evident in every scene they film. The accuracy is outstanding.
The story beautifully blends warmth, comedy, and sadness. One minute, you may be laughing at Tae-poong’s awkward behaviour before becoming emotional at a loan application that uses customers’ eyes as collateral – a true emotional roller coaster ride!
Will Romance Finally Materialise?
Let’s address the elephant in the room: Episode 7 suggests that Taepoong may finally recognise his feelings for Mi-seon, but what happens if someone opens up their romantic feelings while also hiding an eye-popping debt?
“Mi-seon, I really like you, and there’s a 50-50 chance I will go blind next month if we date. Are you still interested?” It might not be the most straightforward approach, but don’t be intimidated.

Their relationship has blossomed beautifully. Interactions feel natural, with a calm energy and warmth radiating off them – the thoughts that go through your head haven’t left them alone! After their confession, tissues will likely be required.
